Terms and Conditions
Minimum age of enrolment is 16 unless
specified otherwise in the course
A deposit is required to book a place on a
course. This deposit will be refunded in
full if for any reason a place cannot be
offered on the requested course. Otherwise
it is non-refundable.
Full payment is required for taster days and
1-day courses, unless a deposit payment
option is offered.
Full payment is required to be received into
the school account 10 working days before
the first day of the course.
It is the responsibility of the candidate to
ensure they have adequate insurance cover
whilst practising the techniques learnt with
LSTMB outside of class.
By enrolling onto a course a student agrees
to follow the course to completion and to
pay the full fees, and abide by the LSTMB
terms and conditions.
Students are encouraged to arrive for
lessons on time. Late entry to the class is
at the discretion of the teacher who may
refuse entry to any student who is more than
ten minutes late or is habitually late.

form that LSTMB may keep their personal
records on its computerised systems. Should
any circumstances change it is the studentís
responsibility to keep LSTMB informed of all
changes, in particular, of any changes of
home address in the UK, as well as in their
home country, changes to emergency telephone
numbers and contact names and change of
Students are expected to attend all of their
classes and are required to have at least an
80% attendance rate. It is the students
responsibility to catch up with work missed
if a class cannot be attended.
LSTMB will try to contact any student who
remains absent from their class for five
days or more. This is so that the School can
find out what may be wrong with the student,
to offer any welfare assistance and to
remind them of the need to comply with the
terms and condition of enrolment at LSTMB.
Letters and certificates will not be issued
to students who have not paid, attended or
reached the levels necessary for the
documents they want.
Course fees include examination, assessment,
and certification fees for the course
enrolled upon. If a student would like a
separate certificate (where available) for
part of a course the student will need to
pay an additional registration fee. For
example if a student who is enrolled onto
the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary
therapies would like a certificate for their
massage course taken in Term 1 they will
need to pay the VTCT registration fee for
It is the responsibility of the student to
book their course in advance to enable any
necessary visa requirements to be met.
All courses are taught in English. LSTMB
and the UKBA require that a prospective
students English language ability is tested
at or above CEFR Level B1.
Payment of 50% of the full course fees must
be received before a Confirmation of
Acceptance for Studies (CAS) or Visa Letter
can be issued to International students
requiring a visa. The remaining course fee
will be split into 10 equal monthly
instalments due from the first day of the 2nd
month of the course and each month
thereafter for 10 months.
A bank transfer may take one to two weeks to
reach the Schoolís account and Visa Letters
can only be issued after the funds have
cleared into the Schoolís account.
Cancellations made due to visa refusal will
result in a loss of £150 administration fee.
The student must supply the School with the
original notice of refusal from the British
Embassy or Consulate and return the
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
or Visa Letter. No refund of course fees can
be made until the school has verified the
visa refusal is genuine.
Students who submit false information on
their visa application resulting in a
refusal of further leave to remain in the UK
by the UKBA (United Kingdom Border Agency)
will not be entitled to a refund on any fees
they have paid.
International students are required to
present their passports on their first day
and the school will retain a copy, as
required by UKBA immigration regulations.
Students with a GSV (general student visa)
are advised that they must attend at least
80% of their lessons by law.
Under the new UKBA Tier 4 immigration
system, it is now a legal obligation for
LSTMB (as the students sponsor) to report
extended periods of absence of more than 10
consecutive days to the UKBA monitoring
Refunds and Cancellations
No refund can be made to students once the
course has commenced and no transfer of
courses in whole or in part can be made.
Fees are non-refundable in the case of late
registration or the abandonment of a course.
LSTMB does not permit the transfer of credit
from one student to another.
Any notice of cancellation must be made in
writing, and will result in the loss of any
deposit paid to LSTMB.
Refunds may take up to 90 days to process
once notice of cancellation has been given.
If a student is dismissed for poor
attendance or misconduct, no refund will be
Deferment requests will be considered
individually on medical grounds before a
course commences, and will incur an
administrative charge of 25% of the course
We guarantee a full refund, limited to any
fees paid to LSTMB, if a course is cancelled
LSTMB reserves the right to cancel any class
where there is insufficient demand or any
other justifiable reason to do so.
Students are advised that the School, its
employees and its representatives accept no
liability for personal injury and / or loss
of / damage to personal property on the
Schools premises, whether by fire, burglary,
theft or otherwise. This condition also
applies to public and private places when
students are on School trips or excursions.
The School is not responsible for the safe
keeping or delivery of any fax, post,
etc.sent to the students at the Schools
The School is not responsible for the
safekeeping of exam results or certificates.
Students may from time to time be
photographed, the photographs of which may
be used in the Schoolís promotional /
publicity material. The School reserves the
right to all photographs which may be used
in any way the School sees appropriate in
promoting itself. The copyright to all
photographs shall belong to the School.
It is the policy of the School not to
divulge any personal details of students to
a third party, other than to the appropriate
authorities, without the studentís prior
In all cases the decision of the School
Principal of LSTMB will be final and
These Terms are governed by the law of England
and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of
the Courts of England.
It is advisable to become a member of a
recognised governing body, and is essential to
have insurance cover whilst practising away from
class. LSTMB can advise you on this either in
advance or on your first day
A First Aid qualification will be required for
membership of a governing body. This should be
completed before the end of your course. LSTMB
does provide First Aid courses, however it is
There are inevitable external costs to a course,
such as equipment or books. Where possible
LSTMB will obtain discounts for candidates.
